Butter London – Henley Regatta

I bought three bottles of Butter London polish a couple of months back, but just realized I’ve never swatched them! First up is Henley Regatta.

Henley Regatta is pretty glorious, I have to say. It goes on smoothly and doesn’t have the crunchy feel of a glitter, probably because it’s so fine. The photos above show 3 coats + top coat. It definitely covers well enough to stand on its own, but I have tried it over a green or turquoise polish, and it looks great that way too. The turquoise and green glitter shimmers beautifully in the sun, and basically super into it.

Things That Happen

I’ve been embarrassingly terrible about updating lately – sorry about that! I think reading photo dump posts is fun, so I’ve decided to bring YET ANOTHER here. Our last few weeks in pictures…

First, I volunteered at a work event held at Stone Mountain. For you non-Georgians, Stone Mountain is a big mountain made of well….stone! It’s kind of weird looking because there aren’t any trees on it? And I’m still not really used to mountains anyway. So, we got to take a fun nature hike between sessions – pictures of which are below.

One day I was feeling bummed so I painted my nails rainbow! Believe it or not, I don’t think I’ve ever used 10 different colors before. The right hand (left below) is all the lighter versions of pink, orange, yellow, green, purple. The left hand (right below) is red, orange, yellow, green, and what was intended to be purple but ended up pink/fuschia.

We went to Inman Park fest a few weeks ago, and I didn’t even get crowd anxiety! Which is really exciting for me. We had a really good time and even bumped into some coworkers. We definitely splurged on ‘fair food,’ and found out that here, they call curley potatoes “Butterfly Fries.” We call those puppies Twisty Taters where I come from. The good thing is, they taste the same by any name:)

We bought this lovely sugar skull from a cool guy at a booth. He makes them himself out of cement and volcanic ash, then hand paints them.

There was a farmer’s market at my office complex, and I purchased some organic Key Lime Pie flavored cotton candy (yes that’s a real thing). It was really overpriced and ended up tasting terrible. But you know…it was organic.2013-05-01 11.16.22

We also had a company wide game night at Game X. I took this sweet panorama of everyone upstairs.
